Questions
Can I use HeatingDesk today?
Not yet. We are building it now. Waitlist members hear first and get the founding price of £20 a month for life.
Do I pay anything to join the waitlist?
No. Joining is free. The deposit tick box only tells us you would be willing to pay a deposit. We will not take any money without asking you first.
Does it file my tax or Making Tax Digital returns?
No. HeatingDesk does not file anything with HMRC. It exports your invoices and payments to Xero or QuickBooks, and you or your accountant file from there as you do now.
Is the price really flat?
Yes. £30 a month, monthly rolling, no setup fees and no per-user charges. Founding members pay £20 a month for life.
Is it only for gas engineers?
HeatingDesk is built for UK gas and heating engineers first, especially sole traders. Other trades are planned under the TradesDesk name.
Are you connected to Gas Safe Register?
No. HeatingDesk is independent and not affiliated with Gas Safe Register. You stay responsible for the work and for what goes on your certificates. HeatingDesk helps you store them and remind customers.
Can I cancel?
Yes. It is monthly rolling. Cancel any month, with no exit fees.
Privacy notice
Who we are: HeatingDesk, part of TradesDesk, a UK business. Contact: aicraft0000@gmail.com.
What we store: the details you type into the waitlist form (name, email, business name if given, number of engineers, your admin headache and whether you ticked the deposit box), the date and time you signed up, your approximate country based on your internet connection, your browser type, and the web page that linked you here (if your browser shares it).
Why: to email you about the HeatingDesk launch and founding offer, and to understand which admin problems to fix first. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box.
Where: stored securely with our hosting provider, Cloudflare. We do not sell or share your details with anyone else.
How long: until you ask us to delete it, or 12 months after sign-up if HeatingDesk has not launched by then.
Your rights: you can unsubscribe at any time, ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it. Just email us. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
